Beej Shah
Beej works to establish high-quality high school internships at employer partners and is responsible for ensuring that the Prelude curriculum and instruction centered around 21st century career readiness skills is relevant, engaging, and impactful for students.
Beej began her career as a 6th grade English and Language Arts teacher in Romulus, MI and has remained committed to improving educational outcomes for students since she first stepped foot in the classroom. She has served as a school-based instructional coach in Gary, Indiana and most recently worked as a teacher educator in New Orleans and Chicago, where she is currently based. She served as the Director of Residency at Relay Graduate School of Education where she instructed, advised and developed teachers in the earliest stages of their careers. She successfully increased enrollment in the program by 50% and pursued and developed new partnerships with schools and networks to ensure that more students have access to high-quality education.
Grounded in the belief that a great education is the foundation for students to pursue their goals and dreams in life, Beej is committed to ensuring Prelude students have the skills, self-confidence, and opportunity to launch a strong career.
Beej earned her B.A. in education from the University of Michigan, and her M.S. in Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum from the University of Pennsylvania.
